Wokingham Smiles

When taking care of our appearance, many of us spend time making our hair look nice, choosing clothes that suit us best, and going to the gym to keep our bodies fit and healthy. But sometimes we forget to pay extra care and attention to what people see the most: our teeth.

A person’s smile can say a lot about them, so here are some tips to make sure that your teeth are dressed for all occasions:

Brushing twice a day:

•    As obvious as it sounds, it’s essential to brush your teeth twice a day. It’s better to brush your teeth as soon as you wake up to get rid of the plaque and bacteria that has built up over the night.
•    After your long day of talking, drinking and eating, it’s best to brush before bed. Getting rid of the days food will reduce the build-up of bacteria and ensure that any left overs aren’t lurking in your mouth throughout the night.

Flossing:

•    Flossing not only helps to keep your teeth clean, but also ensure that your gums are healthy, preventing from gum disease and plaque build-up.
•    You should also use mouthwash as part of your daily routine. Using mouthwash three or four times a week can help get rid of any bits that you may have missed with your toothbrush. It also helps to keep your breath fresh, and reduces the chance of bad breath.
